About

The idea of starting a law corporation that is focused on providing affordable legal services was first inspired when Fadi K. Amer began representing low-income tenants in Boston, during his second year at Harvard Law School. The impact he made on the tenants’ lives and living conditions motivated Mr. Amer to build an institution that is focused on providing quality legal services at highly affordable rates. Coming from a low-income and immigrant family himself, Mr. Amer witnessed how poor and underprivileged clients were underserved by their lawyers or by the system. This view was further sharpened when Mr. Amer experienced “the other side of the law,” representing big corporations as a litigation attorney for McDermott Will & Emery in Century City, California. Although Mr. Amer received numerous awards for his pro bono work while working at McDermott, he wanted to dedicate more of his time to serving middle to low income clients with outstanding legal service; especially in areas where Mr. Amer felt that low income clients needed the most help, such as bankruptcy, tenant rights and immigration.
