In Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus teaches that the first and greatest commandment is that"You will Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and all yourmind. And the second is that you should love your neighbor as yourself." Thesegreat commandments emphasize the importance of Love! We must love each otheras ourselves, but if we cannot first love ourselves, we surely cannot love others. Come let us help you learn to love yourself...we are all special in the eyes of theLord.First Church of Winsted is committed to helping each other and our surroundingcommunities. We strive to help our neighbors in need, locally with donations to theWinsted Greater Area Food Bank, and the Open Door Soup Kitchen, and throughour mission offerings, we can even help on a more global level.
