The Learning Link of Delaware was created to accelerate the educational achievement of every student in the state and to reduce the growing achievement gap between white students and minority students. Through training programs, outreach and greater communication, it links families, schools and communities to build a supportive learning environment in which all children can grow and succeed.The Learning Link of Delaware strongly believes that parental involvement is vital to ensuring students are on track for educational achievement beyond high school. To achieve that involvement, it offers technical assistance programs that teach collaboration strategies for parents, schools, the community, grassroots leaders and school paraprofessionals.Schools that have a history of low parent involvement or low student performance are a special focus for the Learning Link because engaging families in the process of education is essential to reaching more students and meeting higher standards.
