At the age of 12, Doug Watson started his funeral service career in his hometown of Parsons, Kansas. His early duties were lawnmowing, washing automobiles, and general housekeeping. As Doug matured, the local funeral director asked him to take on more responsibilities with the families, which he found very rewarding.In 1981, Doug moved to Wichita to pursue his education and began working at the Broadway Mortuary, where he served until he opened Watson Funeral Home in 2000.Since 2000, Doug has had the privilege of serving hundreds of families and looks forward to many years ahead. With the addition of their cemetery located on the Watson Funeral Home property, families have the choice of the area{s only family owned funeral home, cemetery, crematory, and monument provider.
