About

My grandfather opened Morris Rosin Jewelers on Main Street in Hartford in 1918. He was there until 1929 until, like so many, he lost his livelihood in the great depression. My father, Philip Rosin, opened Philip David Jewelers in 1954 in Bishop’s Corner. With my mom, Nathalie, they created the focus that we still have in the store today. Often ahead of the times they found new and interesting jewelry designers like David Yurman in the 1960{s. There are countless designers to choose from, but as my mom would say "we cherry pick", always looking for the timeless, well made, interesting classics. Now retired Philip and Nathalie established wonderful lasting relationships with many talented jewelry artists who we still carry today.Having been raised in the business and going to shows as far back as I can remember, I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to work at the store as a teenager. I became a gemologist in 1983.
