About

Russell Creek Winery, The home winery was established in 1988 on a small farm nestled on the banks of a stream flowing from the "Blue Mountains" located in the south-east corner of the state of Washington. Starting out small with a handpress and five gallon "carboys", winemaker Larry Krivoshein homecrafted full-bodied stylish red wines. The original "Diggers" label, showing the state of Washington with a shovel stuck in the ground near Walla Walla, with Soviet Union, Canadian, and United States flags flying across the top, is a "tongue in cheek" commentary on Larry{s cultural and economic background. Bonded in the fall of 1998 "Russell Creek Winery, LLC" was on its way. The wine press still sits in the corner of the office, and the car boys are only used for holding the "topping" wine. ( Wine used to "top off "the barrels which must re main filled to the top for the two year aging process.) The quantity may have increased, but the quality still remains the same. Premium red wines made in the same "attention to detail" manner as before.
