Basel Cellars began the journey into the wine business in 2001. Our Estate vineyards were planted prior to this in 1996. All of our production is done on site in our 9,600 sq. ft. underground winery on the south end of Walla Walla, WA. We are proud to be able to produce Estate wines from Pheasant Run, Double River Ranch, Chelle den Millie, and Phinny Hill; our Estate Vineyards.You must be 21 years or older to like this page. Please drink responsibly. Our Winemaker, Ned Morris, is focused on making wines that are big and full-bodied, but with smooth generous tannins and velvety rich textures. He aims to create wines that walk a fine line between having long cellaring potential, yet are very approachable upon release. This is accomplished through intense sorting and inspection at harvest customized cap and tannin management for each lot during fermentation, and specific cellaring and cooperage actions during the elevage period. The wines that are created as a result, are classically balanced and proportioned, and display elegant complexity.
