Our name comes from the latin Aletris farinosa, the plant commonly called Stargrass or True Unicorn. Aletris farinosa is a white lily that has been used for centuries by Native Americans as a general female tonic – for conditions such as uterine fibroids, ovarian complaints and infertility. Aletris farinosa is indigenous to the eastern United States, and is listed by some states as endangered.An Integrative CenterAt ALETRIS, we recognize that health is more than the absence of disease.
