I have over 20 years experience in the Preschool and Child Care profession, having operated and managed 1 of 2 family-owned preschools in Sarasota and Manatee counties.  I owned and operated a preschool in Manatee County, Florida, and in 2009 founded Little Scholars PreSchool and Child Care Center in Sarasota, Florida.  I have extensive coursework in early childhood development and a degree in Early Childhood Education from State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.We believe that all children deserve love, attention, respect, and nurturing. We believe that a safe and loving environment allows children to explore and grow. At Little Scholars PreSchool and Child Care Center, we allow children to have hands-on learning experiences. This fosters age appropriate development. We read to the children every day to encourage strong literacy skills. We believe that positive reinforcement is important for children to develop self-esteem. Children need an environment that supports free expression and stimulates learning.  Most importantly, we believe that children need to have fun!At Little Scholars PreSchool and Child Care Center, we make sure that every child is involved in stimulating activities every day, and we make sure they have fun.  Children learn best when they are having fun!  At Little Scholars PreSchool and Child Care Center we recognize that each parent has a difficult schedule and try our best to support parents in every way we can. We offer full and part-time care, early drop-off, with some weekend care to accommodate your schedule.  We recognize the importance of work, and the stress and demands placed on parents. We strive to make it easier on parents by giving them the secure knowledge that their children are in great hands.  All of our teachers pass a rigorous screening and fingerprint process. We are licensed in the State of Florida in Sarasota County. Most of our teachers have advanced degrees in child development.  We insure that our staff exceeds state requirements for CPR and First Aid and we encourage them to further their education to benefit our school and your children.
