Thirteen people formed the nucleus of Salina Heights Christian Church and became charter members on June 11, 1964. Over the next seven years they grew to fifty-eight members and worshipped in seven different locations.In 1971 the decision was made to purchase an existing building located at 831 North 10th. A remodeling program, “WHATEVER IT TAKES,” was completed in 1980. In 1986 the church purchased the land, house and garage adjacent to the church. The house served as a parsonage, meeting location for Sunday school classes and a church office. The double garage was later converted to a “Youth House” for the teens.
