My name is Matt Mollet. I have been the President and owner of Lau-Nae Winery since January 2007. The winery was established in 1999 by my parents, Mike and Donna Mollet. They had a dream of producing quality grape and fruit wines while sharing their love of wine with as many people possible. Lau-Nae was the 17th winery to open in the State of Illinois.In September 1999, the winery released 8 different types of wine. Today, the winery offers 30 of its own wines plus a full range of wines from around the world. The winery grows Marechal Foch, Cayuga White, Catawba, Chardonel, Concord and Niagara grapes. In addition to the French-hybrid styles of wine, the winery produces wines using vinifera grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Lau-Nae also offers Illinois Blackberry, Elderberry, Apple and Peach wines.
