"My wife Teri and I have had a busy week or two so we have been eating a lot of simple meals or leftovers. We like leftovers, so that’s OK, but what we really like to do is turn them into a special meal by adding a big bottle of wine.While I was thinking about what wine to open I got a call from an old friend, Alex Heck of Wine Direct Selections in California. He asked about a wine he sold me a couple of months ago, Kimmel Merlot. I hadn’t tried it yet, and Alex was going on about what a great wine it is....The thing about Alex is, he’s never sent me a bad wine. He knows my tastes and always comes up with incredible wines at good prices. So I figured I had better open one of those Kimmel bottles.
