Academy for Early Learning offers a professionally designed, thematic curriculum; complete with lesson plans, assessments, progress reports, portfolios and newsletters for parents to use as a guide. Each child has their own unique Individual Education Plan to ensure they are being provided the most appropriate curriculum for their unique learning and individual development.  Children learn through hands on play and structured activities in our well organized learning centers. Our classroom is organized into "learning environments." These are the spaces within our classroom where the children discover activities and materials related by theme, interest, and skills. These activities and materials can be used independently by the children, or with teacher direction, to reinforce and enrich skills and concepts they need to reach higher levels of development. Learning environments are an excellent way to individualize the curriculum to meet the varying needs of young children in a very child centered and developmentally appropriate way.  The accelerated school readiness program with gifted curriculum is designed for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old.  It is these first five years that are the most significant in your child{s development.  It is now that children are formulating ideas about themselves, others, education, and the world around them.  It is essential that early literacy, math skills, motor development, cognitive thinking, character attributes, and social and emotional skills are cultivated at this early age.  A misstep at this stage in development can foster a tremendous long term disadvantage.
