I have always had a fascination for gold. I remember when I was a young boy whatever game kids were playing there had to be a gold treasure.In 1980 on the North Fork of the Yuba River my mining partner, Sid Walker, and I hit a small Mother Lode with a Keene gold dredge. With the gold we got that summer, I learned how to make jewelry and went to Gem School.In 1981 I sold a lucrative high pressure dissatisfying business in Santa Barbra, Ca. and moved to Placerville, Ca. where my wife and I opened a hole in the wall Jewelry Store at Midtown Mall. It took five years and all of the money we had to finally have a successful business
