Pharmaceutical companies have an ethical responsibility to ensure that their products do not jeopardize the quality of life of their customers and patients. There are, however, numerous drugs put on the market by these corporations that can result in severe complications to health and life. One such drug under investigation is Pradaxa®, prescribed to patients who have blood clots or are at risk for strokes. While Pradaxa® may have helped some patients, others have developed serious complications from the medication, ranging from internal bleeding to death.
