Cove Cakes is based on the belief that our customers{ needs are of the utmost importance.  I am committed to meeting those needs.  Karen would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust by delivering  to you a cake beyond your wildest dreams.   All of her cakes are baked to order, using only the finest domestic and imported organic ingredients.  The OOO Caputo flour from Italy helps to create an unusually tender cake with a fine crumb, and with exactly the right amount of moistness.  Powdered fondant/icing sugar is India Tree{s (www.indiatree.com) version .  It is specially developed for the baking trade.  It has much less cornstarch than grocery store brands and is formulated to produce "smoother and glossier" icings and fondants.  India Tree{s caster (superfine) sugar is the best sugar  for her cakes.  It allows for superior blending of ingredients with less mixing, thus, producing a more tender, moist cake.  As with the sugar and flour, the eggs, butter, chocolate vanilla/vanilla beans, fruits and all other ingredients, even my marzipan from Italy, are all organic.     Karen{s sugar flowers and decorations are all personally handcrafted from sugar paste, fondant, marzipan, butter-cream and royal icing.  Her meticulous attention to detail helps to create superbly impressionistic flowers and other painstakingly handcrafted detailed decorations.    She personally designs the cake boards. They are original with attention to every detail.  She, also, uses nothing but the finest domestic and imported ribbons, tassels, fringes, Swarovski crystal braids and trims.  She feels that  the boards create a unique backdrop for her cakes.  The boards provide a dimension of beauty and originality which you will be hard pressed to find anywhere.   You may buy her cake boards individually.  This service has a minimum order of  $100,  plus shipping.
