A new wave of foreclosures washed over the city last month amid a deepening nationwide crisis.There were 2,252 foreclosure-related filings on homes citywide, 58% more than in February 2007, according to real estate Web site RealtyTrac. In a city of about 3.3 million households, that{s one foreclosure filing for every 1,454 households."It{s going to get worse before it gets better - at least through the end of the year," said RealtyTrac spokesman Rick Sharga. Four-fifths of the recipients got default notices after missed mortgage payments. Other filings involved foreclosure sales or repossession.
