Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service (AEVS) has provided urgent, emergency, and critical care services in support of referring veterinary hospitals and their surrounding communities since 1979. Owned and operated by practicing veterinarians of the local community, AEVS functions as an extended resource by providing high quality care and outstanding customer service for dogs, cats, and small mammals.AEVS is staffed by highly trained and skilled employees. We have 25 full-time and 11 part-time Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) on staff. They are supported by a very well trained and experienced staff of Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT) that have passed a national test and are certified as knowledgeable in their field. We also have 9 CVT’s that are Veterinary Technician Specialists in Emergency and Critical Care VTS(ECC). This certification is attained through a 2 year period by completing a very rigorous application and passing test given by the Academy of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Technicians (AVECCT).
