On behalf of all of us at Independent Baptist Bible Church, we welcome you. We would like to introduce ourselves to you and our community. In January 2002 God called Pastor Richard Clegg to start a Bible believing church. Pastor Clegg has been a resident of Middletown Connecticut for over 30 years, and has been serving God in our community for over 10 years. Pastor Clegg realizes the need of people to be encouraged and supported, loved and nurtured. He states: "We must walk together in Christian love. Watch over and counsel one another in brotherly love, remember one another in our prayers and aid each other in sickness and distress. We must strive to advance people in knowledge, holiness and comfort, to promote their prosperity and spirituality. We must endeavor to maintain family values and to educate our children in the things of God."   The congregation first met in the home of Pastor Clegg before moving to it{s current location at 558 Newfield Street in Middletown. The church{s mission and purpose is to minister to the spiritual, emotional and supportive needs of individuals and families alike. We are a loving, caring, compassionate body of believers, whose goals are to meet the needs of our local community and beyond. We know that life is both challenging and uncertain, but also believe God has a divine purpose for each person created in His image. Our church is made up of people from different backgrounds, all of which are striving to reach the goal of abundant life through Jesus Christ. We are not perfect people, but through Jesus Christ we have found forgiveness, love and courage to face all of life{s challenges. We believe that the love of God has been revealed to mankind through His son Jesus Christ and therefore our desire is to illuminate the perfect love to all we meet. Our Past and staff have a clear vision of God{s plan for this church. We have established several programs designed to meet the needs of our people. We believe that you have a place in ours hearts and our church family.
