Scott West graduated from the University of Southern California Dental School in 1970. After dental school, Dr. West served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps and completed advanced training rotations in crown and bridge, root canal therapy, oral surgery, and dentures. In 1972 Dr. West started private practice in the city of Mission Viejo. He became an active member of the Orange County Dental Association, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association.Dr. West is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, and the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Over the years, Dr. West{s concern for his patients led him to research how dentistry can aid the patient in overall health. One such area of interest was snoring and sleep apnea - he could see the negative health effects, but could not find a consistent pathway to success for treatment.
