Kindergarten is not what it used to be.The children learn to read, add and subtract numbers, write complete sentences, build vocabulary and spelling knowledge,work with computers and so much more.Yes, they even have homework.Our child care program prepares them for all of that, socially, emotionally, and academically, in an age appropriate environment.  We are not a “day care center.” Our preschool is accredited by A.P.P.L.E. – Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment – A Florida Gold Seal Program.Our Kindergarten is a small down to basics program, designed to fill each child with the love of God.The A Beka curriculum works so well with our values, philosophy and each individual child.  The program serves as a partnership with the parents to ensure the students preparedness for the next level. Our children are still young and we want them to enjoy being young children, so our environment is simple and fun.  Our teachers are able to enjoy teaching and nurturing the students.  We want our teachers to enjoy being here, just like the children do. Our Philosophy is in working with the total child to assist in raising them and giving them the best foundation possible.  We understand the parents are the first teachers and the Learning Tree is dedicated to assisting the parent in educating the students while providing other services to provide conveniences at an affordable rate.   Faith Statement: The Learning Tree is a Christian based program utilizing teachings from the Judeo Christian Faith and the old and new testaments of the Holy Bible. The curricula used for the education of our students are based on this statement of faith and is a part of our everyday teachings.   Learning is Fun! The school is developed into a "prepared environment" which excites and challenges the child{s intellect.  The classroom is a fascinating world of concrete material, to encourage the child to explore, touch create, learn and communicate  The atmosphere is Montessori-oriented, allowing freedom with responsibility, emphasizing the development of "inner discipline" rather than the use of outward controls.
