China Baroque is a small family owned business made up of Alexanne Albert (the mom), Christie Gunter (the daughter-in-law), and Erica Calvery (the daughter). Alexanne started the company back in the mid-nineties. Artistic people had been repurposing china into jewelry for several hundred years. Alexanne came across several different versions and saw an opportunity to express her vision for the jewelry.She understood immediately why this concept worked. Women love china, they love jewelry, and the two together are a creative force. Up until this point, the china jewelry Alex had seen, although beautiful, had been set in aluminum alloy nickel. Her vision was to use precious sterling silver and take the jewelry in a fresh new direction.
