I am originally from the Netherlands, and immigrated to the USA in 1988 and reside since in Virginia. Over the years I lived in Fairfax County, Newport News and Hampton to finally settle down in Richmond.My interest in photography started in my early years around the age of 12. I photographed in both 35mm film and slides. While drafted in the army, I also worked the darkroom in black and white photography.In 2002 I became interested in the digital photography medium, and I still like to shoot and develop black and white film, in 35mm, medium and large format. I graduated in professional photography at the NYIP, the New York Institute of Photography, and I am in business as a freelance photographer since May 2008. I am a member of the PPA, Professional Photographers of America.
