Hi my name is Sandy Wood and growing up we always had dogs and cats. At one time we had 6 dogs, 3 cats, 4 birds, and fish! We were constantly taking care of pets.Then in 1972 my mother - Marge went to dog grooming school here in Phoenix. Soon after our family moved to Colorado. My mother got a job down the street and 6 months later she was asked to purchase the business! She didn{t have to think about that to long!Soon after her purchase she had me and my sister working on Saturdays washing and drying the dogs. It was a very busy shop called, " The Hydrant". One year later she bought her second grooming shop about 20 miles away in another town.In 1982 we moved back to Phoenix and bought the Grooming Shop called, " Casper{s Pet Grooming". We were located at Olive and 59th ave for 6 years. Then we relocated at Northern and 50th ave. Again we were there for another 6 years. I use to drive south on 51st ave to get to work and I noticed, " Doggie Matt " grooming school went out of business. So we relocated for what I thought was going to be the last time. It was a great location and very visable. After 11 years the property manager sold the four-plex to a Californian and after my lease was expired we had to move one more time.We have been at this location now for 7 years come October 2012.
