About

A wide range of fabrication and metalworking techniques are used in creating our jewelry and decorative items, which typically have an organic appearance. A stone may inspire the design, metal, and finish of a piece. When not using a stone, our vision or the price of the finished product determines the selection of the metal and technique. A certain amount of experimentation may enter the process, too, unless the piece is being made to order.Metals used to create our jewelry include silver, copper, bronze, and brass. The metal often has a patina. Lacquer or acrylics are used to seal and protect the finish. Etching, fabrication, fold forming, soldering, fusing, mill pressing, patination, riveting, stone setting and heat treatment are among the techniques employed to turn a variety of metals and stones into wearable art. We feel challenged to master these and learn new skills in order to translate inspiration into art.
