In 1944 Charles and Phillip became business partners and opened Brosh-Long Jewelers in Newport, Arkansas. Newport was the county seat of Jackson County and had the added benefit of steady railroad traffic - a perfect situation for Charles and Phillip.While retaining co-ownership of Brosh-Long Jewelers, Charles Brosh became Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lovebright Diamond Company in New York City. His position at Lovebright helped Brosh-Long gain direct access to exclusive products that they might not have had otherwise.
