Welcome to the Church in the WildwoodHaddam Neck Congregational ChurchWelcome to the Church in the Wildwood.We are a small congregation and always welcome a visitor or new member. Many couples choose our church for weddings or other religious events. Perhaps it is the old wooden Gothic revival style, the quaint woodland setting. Being a small congregation makes the interaction between visitors and members easy and informal. We welcome all to join us for coffee and a snack after service.The Sunday school is always looking to grow and we approach bible study in a more relaxed manner making it easy to join in. We sometimes invite guest speakers to come and share their views. We are active in the International Heifer Project, Northern Middlesex habitat for Humanity, the local Food Bank, and we host an annual quilt show.We have been serving the Haddam Neck and Middle Haddam community since 1740. Our worship centers on God in Jesus Christ though the Bible. We celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and The Lord{s supper or Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month and Easter. We offer the rites of confirmation, marriage, and celebration of passing for the departed.To reach The Haddam Neck Congregational Church turn off Route 151 onto Haddam Neck Road and then follow the signs to the church on Quarry Hill Road. (Please note, there are two Quarry Hill Roads in the area, ours is the 06424 location!)
