About

Papa Gino{s got its start in 1961 as a humble East Boston pizza shop. When the family of Papa Gino{s founder, Michael Valerio, emigrated from Italy to Boston three decades earlier, they brought with them authentic Italian family recipes handed down through generations. These were the recipes Michael and his wife, Helen, used when they opened their first pizzeria, Piece O{ Pizza. This restaurant soon became known throughout Boston as the place to go for pizza of superior quality and unique flavor.By continuing to perfect their business practice and providing a family atmosphere with authentic Italian dishes, they drew more and more guests to their restaurant. In 1968, they changed the name to Papa Gino{s and began expanding throughout the Boston area.Today, you can get Papa{s signature quality and flavor at nearly 170 Papa Gino{s restaurants throughout New England. But you can get more than a "Piece O{ Pizza" at today{s Papa Gino{s. We now offer a full line of subs, salads and other specialties to complement our classic pizza.Beyond our menu, the legacy of our founders is the foundation of our everyday efforts. It’s what drives our commitment to provide high-quality food, attentive service, clean and convenient restaurants, and a premium value experience for every guest. "Our guests continue to praise both our products and our people as the best," says Rick Wolf, President and Chief Executive Officer. "They treat us like family and are happy to return again and again. To be known as a great restaurant with outstanding food and friendly faces is incredibly fulfilling. Papa Gino’s couldn’t be more proud to be a part of people’s lives.”
