Dallas based photographer serving advertising, design, and corporate clients since 1983. Location & full service studio less than 3 miles from the Dallas business district.Born in Japan, raised in Galveston Bay area near Houston, but truly inspired photographically on a trip to New York City at age 12. Carrying a borrowed plastic Kodak camera, I marveled at (and photographed) everything from the Flatiron and Empire State buildings to the steam rising from manhole covers in the streets. The obsession with photography steered me through high school photo classes and two degrees in photography afterward. Then onto Dallas to study under dozens of established photographers with dozens of areas of specialties until going it alone in 1983. My fascination with the mix of problem solving, ingenuity, lighting, and synergy of working with talented designers and art directors have allowed me to continue to do both location and studio still life and avoid the staleness that specialization induces. My clients tend to be loyal and often become personal friends. I{ve photographed everything from microchips, to CEO{s of major corporations, to elephants in the studio. On location it{s been everything under the sun and more from USA, Canada, Mexico, to Korea, China, and Yugoslavia. I love a challenge, and rarely find one I can{t finesse into a pleasing image.
