Lisa and Stephen Maronian, co-owners of Sweet Lisa’s Exquisite Cakes,  are the talented, imaginative and innovative master chef entrepreneurs who are responsible for the wonderful success of this truly unique and elite custom couture pastry shop.Both distinguished graduates of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New Hyde Park, N.Y., Lisa and Steve have turned their unrivaled ingenuity, talent and passion into a recipe for success that has garnered local and national acclaim, prestigious awards, many television and magazine appearances, and most importantly, the satisfaction and recognition of the most discerning customers who not only come back time and again, but recommend their friends and relatives too.From humble beginnings, Sweet Lisa’s opened in April 1993 in a tiny place in downtown Greenwich. They quickly outgrew it and three years later they moved to their current location, a converted house in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich, just minutes from the NY/CT border. It’s a cozy, cool place with a fireplace, comfy sofas and chairs and tons of sample creations and books of their designs in the living room where they brainstorm cutting-edge designs with clients. Their kitchen and designing room is also cozy. It’s where they create their edible masterpieces together with their amazingly talented team that helps product the finest, tastiest cakes and cookies around.
