Comanche Public Library, established in 1960, offers many services from a handsome comfortable building at 311 N. Austin Street, a block and a half off the square. In 1974, the library dedicated its own building designed by pre-eminent Texas architect O{Neil Ford of San Antonio. The more than 26,000 volumes include selections for readers of all ages along with public Internet access. The library{s Special Collections provide diverse Comanche and Texas and Southern States history and genealogy materials.
