About

Elegant and well-recognized, non(e)such can be found nestled amidst an inimitable blend of boutiques and locally-owned businesses on Devine Street in Columbia, South Carolina. Boasting a rich history, the boutique, with a name as unique as the treasures inside, has continued to flourish since the opening of its doors in 1978. Founded originally by Margaret Davis and Jean Bruton, non(e)such began as a charming antiques and gift store. A collector, Margaret was inspired by fine family pieces and her travels abroad. Captivated by the same beauty that enticed her mother, Jean jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with her mother and the venture began soon after tossing her graduation cap.  Jean’s exceptional eye for elegance and the tastefully exquisite transitioned into the growing non(e)such collections effortlessly. Following suit, her daughter Margaret McCardell recently joined the polished pair, offering a refreshing and modern edge that delights many new customers and loyal shoppers alike
