Dr. McCray was born and raised in Bremen, Ohio and graduated from Fairfield Union High School. He raised market lambs for 10 years competing at the Fairfield County Fair where he held the record for the highest selling market lamb for well over a decade. Dr. McCray started piano lessons at the age of 8 and continued through high school and beyond. He played saxophone in the band as well as being a part of Chorus and numerous other high school clubs.
