About

The tradition of CJ’s Bakery had its beginning in the 1930s when Myron Storer Sr. opened a bakery in the Olympic Peninsula town of Port Townsend, WA. Myron knew his craft and passed the artistry, knowledge and tradition of quality baking on to his son Myron Jr., who later opened his own bakery, the Fantastic Cake Box in Kent, WA. Eventually, Myron Jr. earned a world-wide reputation for his baking skills and award-winning cake artistry. From the simplest birthday cake to a 32ft tall, 1600 lb cake celebrating a new TV broadcast tower, the Cake Box filled nearly any request for a custom cake creation.Working with his father, Jim Storer learned the business from the ground up, training at his father’s bakery under some of the world’s best cake artists and refined his skills at other bakeries before opening CJ’s Bakery in 1995 on the Maple Valley Highway in Black Diamond,WA. This is the tradition of CJ’s Bakery: fresh, wholesome baked goods and imaginative cake creations of traditional or custom design.
