Our father and his brother opened up their first bakery in South America after emigrating from Italy. In 1970, when they settled in Connecticut, they kept the tradition and opened up two bakeries. What they did best were the Italian breads, and they took special pride in their baking. In 1982, we established our own bakery and pastry shop. Today, together with our children and our very committed team, we strive to bring you the best bakery goods. Here you will find traditional Italian pastries such as cannoli, sfogliatelle, baba au rhum, pasticciotti, Napoleons, and much more. We can provide small and large size trays–great for any party. During the holiday seasons, we proudly bake all the festive goods that will remind you of the old country. Delicious millefoglie, torrone, ricotta pies, cheesecakes, babka breads, angel wings, and cookie trays. The last five years we have specialized in catering–we are fully equipped to serve from 10 to 100 people. You can choose to pick up or we will deliver. With the recipes from our fathers, we take pride in baking our best breads–a variety of Italian Sicilian baguettes, rolls, focaccias, ciabatta–now famous and requested throughout the country. We are a full service pizzeria. Our Sicilian style pizza is delicious just white (“faccia brutta”) or plain red sprinkled with fresh parmigiano cheese. Or build your own with the many toppings that we offer. Another way to have your pizza is our delicious stuffed bread. We fill them with lots of cheeses, add things like pepperoni, cold cuts, peppers, meatballs, broccoli rabe, or sausage–all topped with Mama’s sauce. If you prefer, we can also do vegetarian stuffed bread. We deliver to retail businesses in the surrounding areas. At Sanremo Bakery & Pastry Shop, our customers’ satisfaction is our first priority.
