About

Bob Tulloch grew up in Ruatahuna in the heart of the Urewera, then moved to Christchurch. Following four enjoyable years at Shirley Boys High School, he worked for an export company learning the fundamentals of accounting. This was not the future he sought, and many lunch hours looking at photographer{s showcases, inspired the hobby that was gaining momentum. The lure of travel and adventure took him to Australia, South Africa, the UK and Canada. It was in Victoria, Vancouver Island, that Bob got an amazing opportunity to take over a fellow Kiwi{s photography business. On returning to New Zealand he made a conscious decision to settle in Tauranga and to start up a studio using some of the ideas he had brought home .He has had a 38 year association with the NZ Institute of Professional Photography, serving as Regional Chairman, National President and Honours Chairman. Each year he enters the National Awards and holds the prestigious Master of Photography qualification, and has added seven gold bars.Bob has a love of the ocean, rugby, in fact all sport, things of beauty, interesting personalities, a good Syrah , his wife Lena (maybe that should have come first), and their extended family.
