Lipika Sud is one of India’s leading Interior Designers.Lipika is the Founder Director of ‘Lipika Sud Interiors Pvt. Ltd’ and has been practicing Interior Design for over two decades (since 1989). She also runs Art n Aura- an Art services company.She is currently the President of The Guild of Designers & Artists and Immediate Past Chairperson of the Institute of Indian Interior Designers -DRC.She is also an All India Governing Body Member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FLO) and also the Co-Chairperson of The Infrastructure Committee of The Indo American Chamber of Commerce.Lipika is an Economics (Hons.) graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce , Delhi University. She did her post graduation in Advertising & PR from Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi and later pursued her Diploma in Interior Design from London, UK. Lipika also holds an LLB Degree from the Law Faculty- Delhi University.She specializes in Interior Design and Project Management of Corporate Offices, Hotels, Restaurants, Resorts, Retail, Residences and Multi-Location Showroom interiors and has designed several prestigious projects all over India and abroad. Some of her noted projects are Havells Corporate office, Ericsson, Hindustan Times – Study Mate, Sharda University, Shivaji Stadium Metro Station & New Delhi Railway Metro Station, Hyundai Motors, Daikin, Escotel, HCL, Bausch & Lomb, Fuji, Bloomberg, American Express, Kirloskar Brothers & Tata Motors. She has also done several hotels, some of them are Savoy Suites-Ascot Hotels- Manesar, Lalit Great Eastern Hotel, Zuari Resorts, Majestic Hotels Limited, and many more.As a Social Entrepreneur, she has extensively and diligently worked towards upliftment and revival of dying Arts & Crafts of India and is part of a movement whose sole aim is to keep the rich cultural heritage of this country alive through education and knowledge. This is possible only by way of creating art installations with these arts and crafts in private and public spaces. This will not only educate the public but also build national pride and develop economic empowerment for the artisans at the grass root level so that they can live with dignity which they deserve.To achieve this objective she is working as a mediator between government , corporates and other agencies.She is also currently working extensively on projects on Women Empowerment at both Rural & Urban Areas.She has won several accolades and has been honoured for her excellent work as Entrepreneur & in Interior Design.She was recently honored with the FICCI FLO Outstanding Women Achievers Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship in the Professional Category for 2013 - 14.She was given the Indian Power Awards on 29th January 2014 for Distinguished and Outstanding Individual Contribution towards Building the Nation and the Professional Entrepreneur Award 2013 by Yes Bank – SRCC Alumnus on 9th February 2014.She was awarded the prestigious award of the Design Professional of the Year by Indian Home Congress on 4th October 2012.She was adjudged the Interior Designer of the Year 2011-12 by Builder Information Bureau and also received the Best Interior Designer for Creative Excellence – Society Interiors.She is a Visiting Faculty / Guest Lecturer / External Jury for several educational institutions.She has also been on the Jury for major National and International Design awards including the prestigious “Top Ten” Chairs Awards 2008 at the Promosedia International Fair, Italy as well as the Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards 2009 – APIDA’09 at Hong Kong. She has been on the jury of “Aces of Spaces – Design Competition 2011 and the IIID Anchor Awards 2011.
