Unless there is awareness about the rights and privileges to which poor people living in the nook and corner of the villages are entitled, no fruitful services can be rendered for benefit of these people. With a view to creating such awareness among the marginal poor villagers NBKS started publishing ALIPUR BARTA, a regional weekly newspaper in Bengali from 13th October, 1966 for the district of 24 Parganas. With valuable contributions from the eminent personalities from the filed of literature, poetry and media, the paper has enriched itself and has become popular among the people.
