I love pushing camera buttons, framing thoughtful perspectives, and experiencing the exhilaration of photographing once-in-a-lifetime moments! So, in 2008 I decided to put my passion into action by becoming a professional photographer in Canada’s National Capital Region – Ottawa, Ontario. Next to the great honour of photographing special moments occurring in my local community – from wedding ceremonies to young families expecting their first child – my most memorable moment to date was when I photographed polar bears and icebergs off the rugged coastline of Nunavut, high above Canada’s Arctic Circle! The picture of me you see here was taken in Montreal, Québec, just a few short hours before I boarded an Air Inuit flight to Resolute Bay, Nunavut.
