First established in March 2004 as Princesa Gold Jewellers in a small shop in the Chezzetcook area along the Eastern Shore, now this young vibrant company operates in a new and bigger location at 169 Main Street Mall, Unit #2 across from the Dairy Queen Restaurant in Dartmouth, NS, with the same excellent reputation of manufacturing high quality Custom Designs Jewellery and Professional Repairs.Led by Joel Hernandez, who formally studied the goldsmith art from 1982 to 1985, including two years of apprenticeship, at the renowned school “Cooperativa de Joyeros y Relojeros de El Salvador” in Central America, where the jewellery techniques were inherited from the ancient culture of the Aztec, Mayas and other native groups. In 1988 Joel worked for Zocalo jewellery in Mexico City. Before founding his business, Joel worked for local shops in Metro Halifax since 1989, and later became independent after a long stay at The Time Shop jewellery.
