About

Winston Maund who lives in Prince Edward Island is a professional photographer and has been photographing images of PEI and its people since the 1970’s.Winston’s interest in photography first started, while he served in the Canadian Arm Forces. After the army he attended the university of UPEI then started doing photography full time in 1980. In 1982 he opened his own studio in Charlottetown and has been photographing PEI scenery and its people for over thirty years. He was one of the first to jump into the digital photography in PEI.“ One of my passions is traveling the Island, photographing abstract designs. The pleasure I experience when I get a glimpse of wildlife brings out my artistic side, like finding a patch of lady slippers, says Winston.” I love photographing abandoned farm houses, or a half fallen barn, island landscapes, heritage roads or just walking the beaches photographing nature in its many forms.Life is about having fun! Winston likes to photograph weddings and family/child portraiture in a relaxed fashion that makes the time enjoyable. He uses a mixture of artistic and photojournalistic styles. All work is digitally shot using professional equipment backed up by over 30 year’s of photography. “It is important that you (or your children) are comfortable in front of the camera, says Winston.” We get to know each other first, have a chat, play with the kids... then take that perfect shot!
