No trip to Yarraville would be complete without a visit to the Sun Bookshop - tucked into the gorgeous art deco Sun Theatre building, the shop is packed with well-chosen fiction, biography, history, travel, science and crime - and a great collection of beautiful art, photography and craft books.
There is also a selection of quirky and artistic cards. The booksellers are friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help - be it with choosing a book or wrapping it up for a special occasion. The Sun Bookshop celebrated 13 years last May, which is a remarkable feat for an independent bookshop.
It is a favourite of the locals in this vibrant inner-city village community. We keep busy with many events and book launches as well as a popular monthly bookclub.
