We have a small modern, winery, crushing only around 250 tonnes, giving us the opportunity to hand-make individual wines. Skillogalee is a boutique family-owned and operated winery located in the heart of the picturesque Clare Valley in South Australia. We offer:* World-class wines, hand-crafted by a father and son winemaking team; * The first and still the best winery restaurant in the Valley; * A range of comfortable, self-contained accommodation for visitors. Our wine range includes: * Sparkling Riesling (NV) * 2012 Riesling * 2010 Chardonnay (Lees Stirred) * 2012 Gewurztraminer * 2012 Rose (Cabernet Malbec) *2010 Take Two (Shiraz/Cabernet) * 2010 The Cabernets * 2009 Shiraz * 2007 Trevarrick Cabernet Shiraz * Liqueur Muscat The vines are hand-pruned and the fruit is mainly hand-picked. Yields are extremely low but the vineyard produces intense flavours and aromas and deep, richly-coloured reds. Kangaroos are our major pests - significant numbers can be found around vintage time, when the hills are dry and brown, camping in the vineyards and feasting on the ripe fruit!
