Worst Experience Ever, I lost my dog after spending nearly $10000, which is really disappointing, now i've lost all that money plus my dog. I've attached pics of my dog's appearance when entering the hospital, and when leaving the hospital, i don't want anyone else to experience this situation, I'm hating myself for taking my dog to them. we consulted a doctor at Advanced Vetcare Kensington, he diagnosed my dog’s Mast Cell Tumour, and said that he needs to do a scan to find out whether it has spreaded through the body. After the scan we were told that it's only around dog’s right shoulder and hasn't spreaded, and the best thing is to start chemo and make the tumour smaller before doing a surgery. Then he introduced us to one of the oncologists there. After meeting her, she arranged medicine for Chemo, we were told that it will take an hour or so to inject the chemo and hand my dog back to us. After meeting, she explained us the medications, and told us to revisit her in 2 weeks, we brought our dog home and started the medication as per her instructions. A week later, Our dog started unusual vomiting with suspected blood, which is when we had to take her back to the oncologist at an unexpected time. She was admitted through to ICU for fluid therapy, and was kept overnight. The next morning, when I visited my dog, the same medication was given ( the medication was handed by another vet) and we were told that our oncologist was busy with other consultations and that she'll email us the discharge sheet with further instructions. Giving the same medication gave my dog the result of bloody diarrhea (even after the first attempt caused induced vomiting with blood, she still gave the same medications), A week later, we had to revisit prior to the booked appointment time, because of my dog’s bloody diarrhea, five to six times throughout the night my dog got admitted again, The oncologist told us that she will be on IV fluids overnight and that she can be given back to us the next day, which was her day off, and it's better if we got our dog the day after as the oncologist will be back and our dog will be in a better condition to take her home by then.and that the surgery team will ring me to discuss further about getting my dog’s surgery done sooner My dog was on IV Fluids that night The next day, One of the vets rang me and said that it's best to keep her till the next day as the oncologist will be back and she can analyse and discharge her in a better condition, at this point they again said that the surgery team has still not had a chance to check on my dog; however it will somehow done within the day, I visited the hospital around 8.30 PM, My dog was brought out with a massively swollen face and barely able to walk, she couldn't even stand on her feet, I asked the receptionist why her face was swollen and she said that there were no vets in the hospital at the time, and that the swollen is just because my dog was removed from the IV fluids. At that time my dog was really dehydrated and started drinking water from the water bowl which was kept near the reception, it looked really odd to see snowy that dehydrated if she was given enough IV fluids as they said. We had to hand her back again. i visited the hospital around 8.30 in the morning, and asked to meet our regular oncologist, however i was told by the receptionist that there is no chance to meet her throughout the day as she has too many consultations (even though she said we can discuss our dog’s discharge on this day) Until around 2.30PM i wasn't given the chance to meet her Around 4.30PM, The oncologist called me and told me to come to her, when i met her, all of a sudden she started saying things like, Our dog won't be able to make it even until the weekend ( which was only 2 days away ) which shocked me Then she bought our dog into the room, she had a full swollen face (one eye nearly shut) and not even able to walk, i haven't got more space to finish this review; however all this led to my loving dog's death within a few hours from this time.
