Arcare Pty Ltd is a leading provider of residential aged care & community care services in Victoria & Queensland. Arcare commenced operations in 1997 when it constructed its first aged care facility, a 58 bed low-care hostel, Latrobe Private Hostel, in Reservoir, a suburb of Melbourne.
In the years since then Arcare has grown significantly and expanded its residential services to include high care (nursing homes), dementia-specific care, and Extra Services as well as Community Care for those who require assistance to remain in their own homes.

Arcare currently has eleven residential facilities in Melbourne with a total of 970 beds, and four facilities in Queensland with a total of 436 beds. Around one third of all beds are Extra Service.

By early 2013 Arcare will have a new facility in Caulfield North (Melbourne) to provide a further 90 beds: a total of 1,496 beds for the Group.

In 2005, Arcare broadened the scope of its care activities in Melbourne by establishing the new community care arm, Arcare@Home. Arcare@Home provides personal care to people to remain in their own homes who might otherwise require permanent residential placement.

Services provided include Community Aged Care Packages (CACP) as well as assistance with showering and personal grooming, cleaning, medication management, meal preparation, ironing, and assistance with shopping and transport.
