The Australian Dental Association SA Branch Inc was formed in 1927 by an amalgamation of the Odontological Society and the Registered Dentists’ Society. Its members were ethical dentists who felt the need for united professional activity. Today the Association is widely known and respected. It represents dentists in private practice, Universities, Armed Forces, Government Service, Public Hospitals - indeed, wherever dentists practise.The affairs of the South Australian Branch are conducted by a Council of 15 members elected annually. The work of Council is aided by various committees. Administration of Branch affairs is conducted by a salaried Chief Executive Officer and staff.The ADA is the only body devoted to your interests throughout your entire professional career. By belonging, we ensure that the conditions under which we practise dentistry are those which we would want for the profession as a whole, ourselves individually and the public.
